Mississauga to Quito

April 20- in Mississauga, Ontario. We flew out of Moncton yesterday and will stay here with friends until we fly out tomorrow for Ecuador. In spite of the earthquake that hit that country last Saturday, our trip has not been cancelled. We will be travelling in non affected areas such as Quito, the mountain area and the Galápagos islands.
Our original flight plans had us flying to Jamaica, Panama City, and onto Quito. After placing a call with Aeroplan, we decided to fork over a few more dollars and only have one stop in Panama City, then onto Quito. We will overnight in Quito at the Mansion del Angel hotel. The following morning we will get picked up by our guide to drive to the cloud forest in Bellavista. I won't give away anymore as things could change once we get there.
Beautiful day in Mississauga. Our friend left us his car so we will go out on an adventure checking out our old neighbourhood and hopefully stopping in to visit friends. A walk along the water in Port Credit is also on our list today. Up early tomorrow for our departure...
